Vendor registration For Iowa Gas Swap Meet includes name badge, room-to-room vending privileges, and special motel rates. More than one vendor may share any of the following vending options, however, each additional person is required to register for the event and pay the $25 fee.
Iowa Gas offers several vending options for those wishing to sell merchandise or services:
1.) Outdoor vending in the paved parking lot. Spaces are approximately 9’ by 18’. Registration and two spaces is $80. Spaces may be configured either side by side 18’ X 18’, or end to end 9’ X 36’ where available. Additional 9’ X 18’ single spaces are available for $40 each. Vendors requiring only one single space 9 x 18 the cost is $65. Your vehicle, trailer, merchandise, etc. must fit in your paid area. Purchase enough space. Local Fire ordinances require an approved fire extinguisher if you use a tent or canopy. 2.) Ballroom vending is available inside the hotel in the air conditioned and secured ballroom area. One space consists of two 8’ tables with covering arranged in an “L” shape approximately 9’ X 11” in size at a cost of $115. Multiple spaces are available. Additional tables may be rented from the hotel.
3.) Courtyard vending is located in the center of the hotel near the pool. Two tables and coverings are furnished for a space approximately 9’ X 11’ at a cost of $115. Advantage is you may remain open as long as you wish. Disadvantage is you must secure your merchandise. Additional tables may be available for rent from the hotel.
4.) Room vending is available at $65 for those who wish to sell ONLY from their motel room. Outside, Ballroom and Courtyard vendors as listed above may sell from their rooms at no additional charge.
PLEASE NOTE: Parking during the Iowa Gas Swap Meet is extremely difficult. Outside vendors must park their vehicles in their assigned spaces. As all spaces are assigned to vendors, do not park in another space because it is empty. You may park in the airport parking lot directly south of the Holiday Inn for a daily fee of $4. Please consider that parking in the front of the hotel takes away parking from potential customers.
